- A mobile operating system (OS) is a software that allows smartphones, tablets, PCs and other devices to run applications and programs.
- Mobile OS is the combination of computer and hand use device.
- It contains a cellular built in modem and SIM tray, telephony and internet connections.
- It manage and operates hardware units for users through apps.
- The most well known mobile OSs are Android, iOS, Window Phone OS etc.

- Developed by Google.
- Based on Linux kernal and open-source software.
- First Android device was launched in 2008.

- Developed by Apple company for their use on its device.
- Second most popular operating system.
- Secure operating system.
- First iPhone device was launched in 2007.
- Uses Swift programming languages.
3. BlackBerry OS
- Developed by Research in Motion (RIM).
- Designed for Blackberry device.
- Good for corporate user.
- First blackberry device was launched in 1999.
- Closed source.
4. Window Mobile OS
- Developed by Microsoft for smartphones and digital device.
- First window phone was launche in 2000.
- Based on .Net framework.
- Closed source.
- Death.
